Publicly available Up-to-date satellite images of Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) are hard to come by. Seeing and taking of photos of Hong Kong Disneyland from the air are also very cool and magical. If you want aerial views of Hong Kong Disneyland, this is how you do it.
When you are landing/arriving in Hong Kong, you should choose to sit in the left/port side window seat of your flight into Hong Kong. When you are taking off/leaving from Hong Kong, you should choose to sit in the right/starboard side window seat of your flight out of Hong Kong.
You are recommended to use a camera to take your Aerial Photo of Hong Kong Disneyland, so that it shows many details of Hong Kong Disneyland in the images. A phone may also work but don’t expect the images to have many details of Hong Kong Disneyland.
When you see land when you are on the Runway (Not Taxiway) or taking off/ you are taking off from runway 07L/07C/07R, you are in the right Takeoff/Departure path to be able to see and take photograph of Hong Kong Disneyland. Once you have taken off, you should scan and acquire Hong Kong Disneyland with your own eyes, then point your camera at Hong Kong Disneyland to take photos of it.
When your flight executes a left-hand turn/turn to port, and you see the Sha Tin Racecourse though your window, You are in the right Landing/Approach path to be able to see and take photograph of HKDL as your flight is landing on Runway 25L/25C/25R.
Then, you should scan and acquire Hong Kong Disneyland with your own eyes, then point your camera at Hong Kong Disneyland to take photos of it.
You can download/save the Hong Kong Area to your Google Maps app to see what takeoff or landing path the air traffic control have assigned for your flight to see if you will be able to take photos of Hong Kong Disneyland. GPS still works when airplane mode is turned on.
If you are taking off or landing when Disneyland is having their Nighttime show, you should be able to see them and can even take photos of it with your phone. You can check when these show begin using the Hong Kong Disneyland app.
